CERTIFICATE IN DIGITAL VIDEO PRODUCTION
Our Digital Video Production course will acquaint students to the world of video production. This course is an introduction to video production generally with the aim of familiarizing individuals with the pre-production, production and post production of video. Students will be charged with operating video equipment, storytelling techniques and protocols on set. The objective is to allow students to be competent in the video production space, having a general appreciation for the art of video production.
According to the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Creative Economy, the creative economy is a vital and growing contributor to growth and employment in many countries, particularly in advanced industrial nations. It spans sectors such as advertising, broadcasting, architecture, arts/culture, craft, design, fashion, music, publishing, and technology. In Britain, the creative industries contributed £84.1 billion to the economy in 2014, and grew almost twice as fast as the rest of publicly traded companies in the UK. It also revealed that the number of jobs in the creative industries grew by almost nine per cent between 2013 and 2014 - almost double the rest of the economy as a whole (4.6 per cent).
By 2019, 80% of the World's Internet Traffic Will Be Video
Video content accounted for an impressive 64% of all the world's internet traffic in 2014, but even with all the ALS challenges, and cat videos that year brought us, we are due an explosion in consumption over the next 4 years. According to a new report from Cisco, by 2019, online video will be responsible for four-fifths of global Internet traffic. The stats for the U.S. are even more impressive, coming in at 85%.
